Are there well drinks available??
Great beers and pizza. Games are in good condition and play well. Fantastic place to lose yourself for a couple hours.
MoreI was very impressed!! Great place to take kids to play arcade games...FOR JUST A QUARTER TO PLAY! FRIENDLY STAFF AS WELL!!!
MoreI was part of a group of about 30 who had a private party at QB. The service was amazing-very accommodating for our group. They allowed us to bring a cake in- we were celebrating a birthday- and they provided extra plastic ware, which I had overlooked bringing. It could’ve been a huge inconvenience for them, but they were just amazing! And the black bean burger was one of the best I’ve ever had- I was super excited that a few vegan menu options were available. We will be back!
MoreThe good nostalgia of the 80's era video games was completely overwhelmed by the ridiculous food and service. This place doesn't know what it wants to be. The food and beer is for low standards foodies. The games are for their parents. Our waiter was terrible, I ordered pulled pork sliders. I got one piece of thick cut bacon divided between two buns with greens on it. The onion rings, which they forgot at first were actually just thier version of French's fried onions. They waiter never came to the table to check on the order, refill drink or bring us the check. After waiting some time the bar tender came over and took the check for us.
MoreCame here for the first time this week for a work party. Been meaning to check it out for a while. It did not disappoint! First of all, every pizza I tried was excellent. Best crust I’ve had in town. And had no idea they make their own beer. Their Oktoberfest is spot on. Didn’t play many games as the place was packed but will definitely be back soon to do so.
MoreOne of the best places in town. Not only fun but the owners care and are attentive to what's going on n. Keep up the good work. Great game selection and really good pizza
MoreWe had a good time out here. The beer and food were good my kids had fun playing the games and the waitress was very nice and when they were out of a topping for our pizza she came out right away and asked if there was a different one we wanted. I was a bit nervous about the food and service after reading some reviews but those were from almost a year ago. It seems they’ve gotten things together, we will be back again. Thank you!
MoreFood was great. We got the buffalo chicken pizza. Would eat again. However... we were in a rush and asked if we could eat at the bar. No problem. Seated there and promptly ignored. Suddenly nobody was our server. Took 10 minutes to get a bartender to take our order. Waited 45 minutes for our pizza before we finally got the attention of another bartender and he went and got it... had been sitting waiting for a while. Had to flag someone down for a soda. Never asked if we wanted more to drink. Disappointing service. Would get carry out if I was in the area again but otherwise I'll pass.
MoreVery fun environment! Menu selection was much more than I expected for an arcade restaurant and the beer was delicious. Service was so friendly too. And they were playing some awesome retro movies while we were there. Can’t wait to go back!
MoreModerately expensive, but fun! My 10 yr old had a blast with the arcade games, she even wants to have her birthday there. But the foods a little over priced. Its not the best pizza, could have been better, wish they had more options, better pizza sauce, fresher ingredients. It was worth the arcade, but not worth the food. Just an suggestion but they need to redo their entire menu, try street taco's and burgers.
MoreWonderful family-friendly spot downtown! We always have so much fun. The kids love the new cafeteria lunch tray kids meals and my husband is a fan of the house beer. I always get the burgers - delicious combinations and the fries are amazing. Come for the food, stay for the games!
MoreAs someone who has a gluten intolerance, the Quater Barrel is my go to place. They have extensive food options for those of us who have trouble ordering off other restaurants menus. Not only do we have options, but the flavors are all there. They literally have the best gluten free pizza crust I've ever tasted and you can only get it at the Quater Barrel because they make it in house. This restaurant cares deeply about their food and menu. Honestly, when coming to Cedar Rapids, and you're looking for a great place to eat with a fun environment, I can't recommend the Quarter Barrel enough. You have to give it a try, and definetly get the gluten free crust. It's that good.
MoreGreat food, awesome games, fun venue, but service was non-existent. When we arrived it wasn't busy at all but it took a while to get seated. After we sat, another employee other than our server took notice of how long we waited at our table and came to take our drink order. Lack of attention continued throughout our stay, so we went to the bar to get more drinks. We played some games and then returned to our table and waited. Finally went to the bar once again to settle up. Seemed like a lot of friends of the staff hanging out and taking up staff's attention
MoreFantastic pizza, and a nice atmosphere. The staff are great. The Veggie Supreme with charred artichokes is fantastic, and that's coming from a meat-lover. The buffalo chicken was also really tasty. Don't let the sweet-potato chips (yes, really) scare you away. The pizza crust is very nice: thin and chewy, with a bit of char.
MoreThe food greatly exceeded my expectations. Beers were solid. Good kids menu options.
MoreCame here for the first time for my work’s holiday party. It was ridiculously fun and nostalgic! They even played 80s movies while we were there. Food was delicious and the staff was very friendly. And I loved the Harry Potter Easter eggs around the bar! All-around refreshing experience I was not expecting in CR.
MoreThe place is open and setup with different games and pin ball machines. There are a number of beers to choose. The pizza is delicious and there are some fun options like the wonton pizza.
MoreGreat service, food and beverages! Highly recommend.
Been to this place quite a few times and though it started out pretty good, it just seems to keep going down hill. The service is bad and extremely slow. We ordered 3 entrees and 2 appetizers (onion rings and fries) and the appetizers were at least 20 minutes behind the entrees and were overdone. They removed the appetizers from the bill but what's the point if this happens every time we go?
MoreBe ready to try something different. The food was good had a kick to it and a little different but good. the staff was friendly and helpful
More1 star deducted for the amount of kids located inside, I thought for certain this was going to be a fun place for adults away from kids, we walked in and there had to be at least 25 kids in our view so we walked back out. Never ate here or received service so I could not deduct more if needed.
MoreGreat prices, great service, amazing food. Hands down the best pizza ive ever eaten in my life. Cozy atmosphere. And the server Misty was great! Ive only met one other server in cedar rapids that was as friendly or as good at their job. We will be eating there often 😊My only request- please make signature drinks for the ladies to order. Only a handful of places in town have signature drinks on the menu. It would make quarter barrel my all time fav in town if you did
MoreGreat place to play old school video games, eat amazing pizza, and drink a local beer. Highly recommended for all ages. Huge selection of your old favorites including several pinball machines. If you visit check out the secret entrance to the Ministry of Magic and watch out for Myrtle.
MoreLove the arcades!!! I wish there were more places like this
Absolutely awesome! My brother and I took my niece and nephew there (10&14) and we enjoyed cold ones while they had a blast playing games. There’s a cool open seating area so you can keep an eye on them. Great games, great food and Misty our server was excellent! We will be back as we and the kids loved it.
MorePizza was decent. Lots of great arcade games here. Great place to bring friends to hang out
MoreGreat food, games, and atmosphere. Had son's bday party here and it was a great time. Highly recommend.
MoreWe went on a Saturday night, which is probably the worst time to go. The noise was extreme. I suggest they install sound deadening tiles on the ceiling and walls. There were a lot of children, which is not what I had hoped. Bordered on Chucky cheese. Most of the kids were gone by 8:30. We had three types of pizza, which were really good. However, the stuffed pepper appetizer was so full of green chiles, that was all that could be tasted. Also, it was not served with enough bread to make a reasonable bite with each piece of stuffed pepper. I'm not going to rush back. If you do want to, go late, so you won't have to listen and compete with the children for the arcade games. However, if you want to show you kids a good time, this might be the place to go.
MoreMy go to place for a night out with the kids. Great food and beer and fun games. Always something quirky on the TV for an added bonus.
MoreHad a blast drinking their beers and playing video games. Crab Rangoon pizza sounds good, but don't...
MoreWill not be back. We came in on Sunday 2/2 about noon was not busy. My daughter ordered a gluten free pizza my granddaughter ordered chicken strips and we ordered a pepperoni pizza. The other family ordered a pepperoni pizza and a appetizer. They came back was out of gluten free crust so she ordered a cheese burger and salad. They brought out the cheeseburger and salad and the chicken strips. They put croutons on the salad so she couldn't eat it. The chicken strips was burnt. 10 minutes later our pizza came out. And about a half hour later the other families pizza came out crust was doughy they didn't send back cause everyone else was already done eating. And they forgot the appetizer. The whole purpose for us to go out for lunch together is to eat together. For the price we should of went to McDonald's.
MoreGreat place!Kid/Family friendly. Retro arcade games & pinball.Food was good, service was good.House beer was good. Had the Recon, Belgian Strong Ale.Our server, Everett ("E") was prompt, and friendly.Crab RanGoonies Pizza is unique, and pretty good.E, also recommended their new salad, it was also very good. Made with Arugula, peppered bacon, almonds, bleu cheese, and port wine pears.
MoreExcellent beer and pizzas. Games in good condition and great variety. Fun time for all.
MoreI always thoroughly enjoy coming here. I used to live in CR and been going here since it opened. I live in Iowa City and still make the drive to go. Worth it. Game selection is great, prices for them are fair, 25¢-50¢, and a good selection of free to play games. Food and drinks are good too. Bar staff is super nice. They don't have a set cocktail/mixed drink menu, but they will make almost anything you want if they have the ingredients. Prices for drinks are really good too. Happy hour is $3 house beers. Always a fun time, great atmosphere, and they definitely raise the bar on bar food and drinks. They also have fun events.
MoreMaybe it was an off day for this place but I doubt I will ever bring my family back. The food quality was below average for what you pay. We had the children's mac and cheese, a burger, appetizer and pizza. Everything was lacking in flavor. The salad veggies were old and dry. The service was bizarre at best. We had three different servers. None of them knew who got what. Food came out randomly. The kids did have fun playing the games.
MoreGreat, unique pizzas, friendly service, and lots of classic arcade games and pinball machines. Food was great, prices are good, and highly recommend trying something different and unique...someone came up with some surprisingly good combinations for pizza toppings!
MoreWent on Sunday and it was slammed but fun in there. Staff did a great job and were really hustling. The games were a blast and in good condition. The food was great but the beer is what really stood out. Excellent house beers. Will definitely be back!
MoreHad an amazing time at my nephew's birthday party last weekend. The beer was excellent! I really enjoyed every one I tried. My burger and fries were pretty tasty too. And the games were the hit of the party. Will definitely be back!
MoreMy kid and I were here on a late Sun afternoon and had to wait about 20 min.s for a table, just what the hostess predicted. While we waited for our pizzas my kid played a few fun arcade games. My veggie pizza was loaded with toppings and they happily accommodated my request to modify it slightly. The only complaint I have is that it was almost too loud to talk across the table but that’s what we expected given the environment. Staff was all really friendly and the price was less than what we would pay in Mpls for comparable food.
MoreFood never came. Place is cool but waited 35 mins for an appetizer and mac n cheese and had to leave. Not many people were there and others that arrived after us were served and eating while we continued to wait.
MoreHad the Bowser pizza and a few beers. Very good! Our bartender was great and very helpful. The vibe was hip and fun. Will definitely be back.
MoreLovely experience! Staff was friendly and food was delicious. Games were a blast from the past! Will definitely be back.
MoreSuper friendly staff and the food was amazing. Excellent beer selection from local brewery's to their own stock. I will definitely be coming back!
MoreThis place was hopping when we visited and the vibe was contagious. The games, the movies on the TVs and the music created such a fun ambiance. And the amazing craft beers and gastropub food make this place the perfect family night out. The kids meal even came out on a cafeteria lunch tray! Their attention to detail on even the little things is outstanding. Keep up the great work!
MoreA solid oasis amongst the edge of downtown Cedar Rapids. It's a little bright in there; make it darker with more flashing lights! But they are kid friendly. Outstanding food! That Crab Rangoon pizza is otherworldly; I'd suggest extra toppings of roasted cherry tomatoes and green peppers though
MoreThis is a great place to go of you are gamer on the 80s. They have the older arcade games like frogger mortal combat, pinballs games. The on tap craft beer selection is awesome and the pizza is great. Perfect place to bring kids and show them your childhood. Priced very reasonable.
MoreCool place. Really good pizzas. I love their beef. I'll be back. :)
If I come back, it'll be for the gaming... won't be for the food or service. Ordered a salad. Lettuce was brown in spots, and definitely didn't taste anywhere close to fresh. The ranch had the consistency of milk, not creamy at all.Cucumbers were dry and yellow in the middle. My daughter loves cucumbers, 2 bites and done with them. There were other complaints about the food, but I lost my appetite to even try the other trays. The service was less than par. Orders were double ordered, placed at the wrong table, or didn't go through at all. She was very polite and had good customer service. I just don't think the place was prepared for the volume of customers. Didn't want to be THAT GUY..But this was my family's overall experience. Hopefully the minor tweaks will be made :)
MoreHave been here several times, usually for work functions. Staff is always very friendly and helpful with beer recommendations. The house beers are some of the best in town. The pizza is delicious. And the arcade games are a happy bonus. I usually give the TMNT machine all my quarters. Good times.
